The joy I experience when I zero in on the perfect running shoes. Seems familiar.

I am at the age where I mostly wear the shoes you started out with. I always!!! Wore high heels, maybe that is why I am suffering now. But unlike you the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased were flats… $350 ..25 years ago, goodness knows what they would cost now, but hey, I still have them and also wear them from time to time, but not when I have a lot of walking to do. Love reading your words β€˜Wordy Bird’ Keep up the good work 😊

NOOOOOOO! Well, I've used them so much that I don't even mind. Worth the investment.

I own zero heels but every time I *do* look at heels, they are super obnoxious and just too crazy for me to ever wear. Like Barbie pink faux leather mules. Or see-through heeled booties. Or furry stilettos. I just can't get away with that, I know it.

Those shoes are works of art! And you look like a million bucks in that bathroom selfie. Also love love the one of you and your mom. I wish I could swan about in vertiginous heels, but my feet won't let me, they're too damn sensitive. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover that CROCS makes some pretty cute high-heeled sandals; I have their Leigh II cross-strap ankle wedge in three different colors.

What a delightful post to read first thing, savoring my morning cup. It's Tevas for me, with or without socks, as my feet are used to them or being bare. I'm the teetering-in-heel type, and hats off to your feet for having their own lovely wardrobe. 😁

They look murder to walk in but anything that brings you that much joy *has* to be good! And they are *amazing* looking shoes. Honestly gotta love any item of clothing that provokes an β€œAre you okay?” -type message from a friend πŸ˜‚

Can’t imagine not wearing socks either.
